Discover Autumn in the Derwent Valley

and all that is good about the region with a day of great entertainment, fine food, local wines, beers, music for all tastes and renew friendships on the banks of the beautiful Derwent River.

It is with a heavy heart that, again, the voluntary committee has decided to cancel the 20th Derwent Valley Autumn Festival. The current COVID climate has made events and festival unpredictable. Patron safety, safety of stallholders, and volunteer health and safety is at the forefront of our concern. Together with low stallholder interest, and apprehension of patrons attending public events have all impacted our decision to cancel the 2022 Derwent Valley Autumn Festival.

We would like to thank the Derwent Valley Council, and their staff, for their continuous support, and we would like to thank everyone that has supported the Derwent Valley Autumn Festival since our last cancellation in 2020. Hopefully the world is a safer place in 2023. Stay safe in the meantime.

Dogs at the Autumn Festival

Please note that under the Derwent Valley Council's Dog Control Act of 2000, dogs are not permitted (with the exception of guide dogs and assistance dogs), at any public event/festivals held on Council maintained land within the Derwent Valley unless there is a resolution of Council prior to this event.

Thank you for your understanding.
